Family Fun: Inland Empire Portrait Photographer

After singing "Rain, rain go away" for the past week, we got our wish today! We met up with one of our contest winners for a family portrait session, however their sweet little daughter stole the show! Here are a few of my instant favorites:

Oliver: Inland Empire Pet Photographer

I have been swamped! Last night I had the pleasure of attending and photographing the Moreno Valley Wind Symphany's show and have been working on those pictures ever since. Well, really I have alternated between that and playing with my new phone! My phone decided that it only wanted to work while on speaker phone. Yikes. So I finally bought a new phone (instead of using a hand me down from a friend for the first time in several years). I went big and got a Droid. I love it. And I am addicted. As if I didn't have enough of a time consuming hobby, now I have to spend hours looking through apps and making new ring tones. And I must update my facebook status every 20 minutes! After several hours of working and playing indoors, I decided to go outside and play with my poor attention starved dog. Isn't he handsome?!

I think so! He is smart and kind too! Yes, I realize that he is a dog, but he is a very sweet boy! And now he wants to snuggle so that is all for today!

Casey's Adorable Belly: Inland Empire Maternity Photographer

When I first got my studio it seemed like everyone I knew was pregnant so I shot more bellies that I ever imagined! It has been a while but I got the chance to photograph another maternity sitting over the weekend. Brian and Casey (and 2 of the 3 kids) stopped by for a quick session because Baby Zane will arrive soon!

Much to their dismay, I insisted that the "boys" in Casey's life particiapte in the shoot. I spared them from having to smile and just asked them to lend a hand...
And because Baby Zane is already loved so much...

So people are excited to meet Baby Zane! But take your time little guy!

Erich & Asia: Laguna Beach Engagement Photographer

Today I drove out to Laguna Beach to see a few familiar faces. I met these two at a family member's wedding that I shot last year and was thrilled to get the call when they got engaged! After rescheduling due to rain not once, but TWICE, we were relieved to have a sunny day! Congratualtions Erich & Asia! And thanks for being such great sports despite the super sharp rocks and cold water attacking us all!

Just Another Winter Day in So Cal - Orange County Children's Photographer

We sure have it rough here in Southern California. These days with the temperature pushing 80 really take their toll on me! Poor kids had to dig out their shorts and flip flops! As you can see, Cole really hates beautiful days spent at the park!
I know what you're thinking: they're BOTH in the same photo and facing the camera (even if they aren't looking at it!) Yes I know, miracles do happen. It really was a miracle. Luke would sit on a rock and Cole, wanting to be just like his big brother, would sit on one too. But he'd sit on one two rocks over. Any time Luke would move to sit with him, Cole would get up and change rocks! That kid - always difficult!
We stayed at the park till the sun went down. By then Luke was "freezing" and it was time to get out of our harsh winter weather!

Ivan & Katie at Griffith Park: Los Angeles Engagement Photographer

Yesterday I spent the day crawling through bushes, hiking, climbing over rocks, and crawling on the ground. Oddly enough, that is pretty much a normal day for me when on a shoot! Ivan and Katie are getting married in April and have no "real" pictures of themselves together so we headed out to the location of one of their very first dates to get some! This was my first trip to Griffith Park and man was it packed! Fortunately, my husband came along for the trip and was able to drop us off near the top so the couple didn't melt before we got there! Getting some of these shots involved me yelling "Go! Now! Hurry!" when the crowd thinned out for a minute because there were so many people everywhere! I'll stop rambling- you are here to see pictures not read a novel! So, congratulations Ivan & Katie! And best wishes to you both!

Asha's Pre Prom Party: Riverside Senior Photographer

Another shot from the vault: This young lady is not only beautiful but also sweet and down to Earth! Her family is always SUCH a pleasure to work and I can't wait until the next event in May!

Rockstar Toddler: Highland, Redlands Children's Photographer

One of my all time favorite repeat offenders is cutie pie Tristan and his parents. This little guy has more personality each time I see him! I've taken his picture since he was a baby so it was great to see him for his 2 year old pictures! He cooperated for about as long as any 2 year old will and then decided he would only work for cookies!

Um, did I mention this kid has a ton of personality?!

After all of the hard work, Tristan decided that photo shoot time was over and it was time for a music break! Do Mommy and Daddy have a future rock star on their hands?!

I can't wait to see what he has in store for me next time!

Roller Derby Dude: Inland Empire Children's Photography

Kids are funny! My little friend decided that he didn't want to get hurt while roller skating so he insisted that his mom help him with this "safety gear"! I couldn' t resist running for the camera on this one!

Taylor's Valentine's Day Photos - Orange County Children's Photographer

Yesterday I took the kids to the park and met with my friend Kimmie with the goal of getting a cute picture of her 6 year old Taylor for her Valentine's Day cards. Now getting a cute photo of Taylor is easy; she's a beauty. But getting a cute photo without, as her mom puts it, her "polite smile" is a completely different story! Polite smile or not, I think we got some cute ones!

Taylor and her little brother Warner. He wouldn't kiss her but he does love her!

And this is what we came up with for her card, with help from a super cute template from Melissa Davis Designs : http://melissadavisphotography.com/designblog/?p=396 Add her on FB and check out her blog! And while you're at it, check out Kimmie's blog. Kimmie is super crafty - just the opposite of me. She made the cute headband Taylor is wearing and pretty much has made a coodinating bow or head band for every outfit Taylor owns - which is a LOT! www.fancykimmie.blogspot.com
