I need an Epiphanie (bag)!

Generally we try to include a photo from a recent shoot in every entry but today is going to be a bit different! One of my fav camera bag makers is having a fabulous contest. The prize: A Canon 5D. Mama needs a new camera! How do you win? Well you earn points completing various tasks. Want to know more? Check it out here: http://www.haveanepiphanie.com/ and look at their blog. But don't win my camera! Well a few of the tasks involve making charitable donations and we think that makes this particular contest TWICE AS NICE as the every day, run of the mill contest. Do it. You will feel good!

Side note: I chose to donate to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The school that I work at is currently doing a school wide Penny War to benefit this same charity. This is a fun way to raise money. Each class has a collection box. Pennies and dollar bills are worth positive points. Silver coins are worth negative. We have kids running around throwing quarters in boxes to sabotage the competition and enjoying every second of it! And they are raising money in the process. Everyone wins. The winning class gets a pasta party sponsored by Olive Garden. Yum! But I ramble, check out Ephipanie bags. Buy me one. Or enter the contest- at the least the charitable part. And then buy me a bag :) Or you can just skip ahead and buy me the camera!

Sean and Katie - Inland Empire Engagement Photography

Yesterday we spent a couple hours with the newly engaged Sean and Katie. Katie drove all the way from Vegas for the session (well, and to see her man too) where she is going to school to be a doctor! These guys were such great sports and up for anything and make a great couple! Congrats Sean and Katie!

Family Fun: Inland Empire Portrait Photographer

After singing "Rain, rain go away" for the past week, we got our wish today! We met up with one of our contest winners for a family portrait session, however their sweet little daughter stole the show! Here are a few of my instant favorites:

Oliver: Inland Empire Pet Photographer

I have been swamped! Last night I had the pleasure of attending and photographing the Moreno Valley Wind Symphany's show and have been working on those pictures ever since. Well, really I have alternated between that and playing with my new phone! My phone decided that it only wanted to work while on speaker phone. Yikes. So I finally bought a new phone (instead of using a hand me down from a friend for the first time in several years). I went big and got a Droid. I love it. And I am addicted. As if I didn't have enough of a time consuming hobby, now I have to spend hours looking through apps and making new ring tones. And I must update my facebook status every 20 minutes! After several hours of working and playing indoors, I decided to go outside and play with my poor attention starved dog. Isn't he handsome?!

I think so! He is smart and kind too! Yes, I realize that he is a dog, but he is a very sweet boy! And now he wants to snuggle so that is all for today!

Casey's Adorable Belly: Inland Empire Maternity Photographer

When I first got my studio it seemed like everyone I knew was pregnant so I shot more bellies that I ever imagined! It has been a while but I got the chance to photograph another maternity sitting over the weekend. Brian and Casey (and 2 of the 3 kids) stopped by for a quick session because Baby Zane will arrive soon!

Much to their dismay, I insisted that the "boys" in Casey's life particiapte in the shoot. I spared them from having to smile and just asked them to lend a hand...
And because Baby Zane is already loved so much...

So people are excited to meet Baby Zane! But take your time little guy!

Erich & Asia: Laguna Beach Engagement Photographer

Today I drove out to Laguna Beach to see a few familiar faces. I met these two at a family member's wedding that I shot last year and was thrilled to get the call when they got engaged! After rescheduling due to rain not once, but TWICE, we were relieved to have a sunny day! Congratualtions Erich & Asia! And thanks for being such great sports despite the super sharp rocks and cold water attacking us all!
